The lawyers who make
the firm.
Vritti is built partner-first: the lawyers you meet in the first conversation are the lawyers who lead your mandate. Every senior practitioner named here has chosen to do the work they do, the way they do it — which, in this profession, is not a detail.
Arvind Ramesh
Arvind's practice sits at the intersection of M&A, private equity and joint ventures, with a particular concentration in private equity funds and the insurance sector. Clients come to him for sophisticated structuring and for the steadiness that comes from having sat on both sides of many transactions.
He was previously a partner at AZB & Partners, where he spent several years leading transactional mandates for domestic and international sponsors and strategics. Earlier in his career he worked with Deloitte and KPMG, experiences that inform the commercial dimension of his legal work.
He advises on the kind of transactions where the structure has to survive beyond the signing — the post-completion life of a deal is as important to him as the execution.
Debashree Dutta
Debashree's practice spans corporate, banking and regulatory mandates for Indian and international clients. She is known for counsel that is pragmatic and patient — the quiet certainty of having thought the problem through three times before saying anything about it.
Her work regularly touches the most demanding edges of Indian regulation — financial services, data protection, healthcare — and she has built a reputation for being the lawyer clients call when the commercial and the regulatory questions are difficult to untangle.
Colleagues describe her as quietly decisive. Clients keep coming back.
Roopali Singh
Roopali's practice centres on complex finance and capital markets mandates — structured transactions, cross-border lending, and the financing components of M&A and private equity deals. She has particular depth on the sell-side and investor-side of debt capital markets transactions in India.
Her clients include Indian corporates, NBFCs, and offshore investors and lenders — frequently introduced through the relationships she has built over many years in the sector. She is as comfortable in the structuring room as she is at the negotiating table.
Her practice is increasingly drawn into the ESG and sustainability-linked financing that is reshaping how capital is raised in India.

& principal associates.
The engine room of every mandate. Our senior team operates with genuine autonomy on the matters they lead — and brings the partners in when it makes a difference.
A firm built for the lawyers who choose to be here.
We recruit for judgment and for character. We train by working alongside — not by delegating down. We flatten hierarchies where they don't serve the work, and we hold them where they do. If the craft of law is something you care about, this is a firm where that caring will be recognised and rewarded.
